Banter yes, abuse no

Community rules

PointRivals is for friend groups who like to wind each other up. These rules keep it fun for everyone in the group, not just the loudest.

Keep it banter

  • Trash talk about the game is fine. Going after who someone is, is not.
  • No hate. Nothing aimed at race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
  • No harassment. No threats, no bullying, no following someone around to pile on, no sharing someone’s personal details.
  • No sexual content, and nothing that encourages self-harm.
  • No spam, scams or advertising.
  • Don’t pretend to be someone else, including us or Rivo.

Forfeits

Forfeits should be funny, a bit spicy and never dangerous. No drinking, money, stunts or photos of people. Readying up means you accept the session’s forfeit, but nobody can make you do something you’re not comfortable with, and pressuring someone is against these rules.

Chat

  • Chat happens in your league groups. There are no direct messages; talk on Discord if you want to go private.
  • Strong swearing is filtered automatically. Getting round the filter on purpose counts as breaking the rules.
  • You can block a player from the group’s member list. They aren’t told.

Reporting

If something crosses the line, report it from the message (Hate, Harassment, Sexual, Self-harm, Spam or Other). A moderator will review it within 24 hours. You can also email admin@pointrivals.com.

If someone is in danger right now, contact the emergency services on 999. If you’re struggling yourself, Samaritans are free to call on 116 123, any time.

What happens if rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the message, warn you, mute you from chat, or suspend or close your account. Cheating can also cost you the scores, rewards and titles it won.
